The purpose of this blog is to support and promote Central Texas Artists & Artisans in the global marketplace, to offer ‘Texan Made” gift & souvenir solutions to an increasingly consciences and informed customer base and bring added value to the customer experience by profiling the artists, artisans & crafters as well as local galleries, shops & events where their works are on display.
My focus will be on the Central Texas area as the aim is to help drive some of the growing international tourist traffic in Austin out to the surrounding communities to see the ’real Texas’.
Each month I will feature a local Texas artist, their work, their communities and their stories (Texans are full of stories). I also maintain a calendar of some of the lesser known arts & crafts events where you can find some of Texas’ most unique and creative folks. Events are listed by date and currently include events October through December, including Christmas Light shows. I’ll update the 2013 events as they become available.
All listed artists & events are within 100 miles of Austin, maps and directions are available for each event.
The Totally Texas Designs featured on this blog are my own works and are available on gifts and souvenirs through my Cafe Press & Zazzle shops.
